Lower critical chance of Warrior class = less burst.Less/no sustain when playing defensively.Condi Berserker has fewer condition cleanses (but it does have some).Condi Berserker has less/no stability without sacrificing damage.Condi Berserker has slightly less mobility. Many passive stat boosts (precision/condition damage).Should be up to 33% more overall DPS than Power.Condi Berserker can get extremely high effective HP without sacrificing much DPS.Condi Berserker has several stun break utilities which are also the most ideal DPS choices. The Sword Berserk skill is also ranged, so Condi is just overall strong at range.Condi Berserker can use the bow and so stay strong when at range.Condi is the WvW meta for a reason! It IS strong. My comparison between Condi/Power for WvW Roaming:ĭifferent variations on stats are possible (Marauder over Berserker, for example) but POWER builds are generally of the sort: ĭifferent variations on stats/runes are possible, but CONDI builds are generally of the sort: However, here you have build A doing 31K and B doing only 22K - a HUGE difference - and so I need stronger evidence that a gap that large will be closed by these factors. If in PvE build A was doing 30K and build B was doing 27K, I could easily believe that B might be stronger against a live player due to many of the factors that have been mentioned. Right now, I'm looking at PvE parses of power builds that are not simply lower than the condition ones, but MUCH lower and that's why I am trying to sort this out. That's not a be all and end all piece of data by any means, but it's not useless, either. In other words, given two different builds, one that parses lower in PvE might actually be better in PvP than one that parses higher because it's more effective at damaging a "live target," but the parse still gives you a general idea of which build is, given the most ideal circumstances, capable of more damage. one of the reasons I am looking at damage potential for PvE builds is that even though obviously in PvP and WvW you aren't going to begin to approach the parses that you can in PvE because your opponent will be dodging, cleansing, kiting, using active defense, etc., the PvE parses still give a helpful max out potential. But for pvp, power has much more success.īy the way. Condi is definitely better in high fractals and raids. So for general pve content, both warr builds should be strong. If you're comparing builds, do that per game mode, not all-around, because mechanics, builds and gameplay in general are very different. Meta condi classes for pvp need to have constant source of condies (usually 2 or more damaging condies), high single target pressure and preferably some non-damaging (trash) condies which make countering by condi cleanse almost ineffective. On top of that, they are mainly focused on 1 or 2 damaging condies and don't have high 'trash condi' pressure, like necro does for example.

In shorter fights however, power builds have much easier time.Ĭlasses like ranger, ele, warr don't have strong condi builds in pvp modes because fields are very easy to avoid.
